Coed Varsity Cross Country · Girls XC Makes MD History at State Championship

On November 11, 2017 at Hereford HS the WJ girls cross country team won their fifth consecutive 4A state title. This historic accomplishment has never been achieved by any other girls high school cross country team in the state of Maryland. Led by Abbey Green, who won the individual state championship, the WJ Wildcats ran with heart, soul and grit on a chilly morning. It was a wonderful and exciting race to see! They are all to be congratulated and celebrated for this unprecedented win.

Katherine Weaver 10th Grade 87th at 21:56.80

The top five runners scored a low total of 83 points to win the title!
