Spring 2021 Virtual Season Online Registration

The high school interscholastic athletics virtual program is available to all students at the high school level – no cuts. The high school virtual athletic season consists of a minimum of three student-athlete and coach engagement sessions per week, over the course of five weeks.  The Spring virtual season is scheduled to occur between December 14, 2020 – January 22, 2012.Registration will open on Monday Nov. 30th.  Starting on Dec. 10 or 11, the spring coaches will reach out to every registered athlete who has a valid physical and send them the access information to join the online sessions.  Anyone wishing to register after 12/14 should first email the coach to make sure they are still accepting student athletes for the Spring Virtual Season.  Because the virtual season is only five weeks long, there are no guarantees late additions will be accepted.

We plan on offering the following sports during the winter virtual season: Varsity & JV Boys Lacrosse; Varsity & JV Girls Lacrosse; Coed Outdoor Track; Varsity Boys and Girls Tennis; Varsity & JV Baseball; Varsity and JV Softball; Boys and Coed Volleyball; and Girls Gymnastics.  This represents all of the traditional spring sports.

All students participating in the Spring virtual season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must have their parent/guardian complete the online registration process. Registration is done electronically through the WJ Spring Virtual Season Registration Form – https://forms.gle/1zF59Lfvf9UXiq4X8

Please use Chrome as your browser as this is a Google Form.  Students and parents/guardians who have difficulty with registration should contact Athletic Director Tom Rogers at thomas_w_rogers@mcpsmd.org

Students must have a valid physical on file with Walter Johnson HS.  Given the unprecedented circumstances, for students who are unable to secure an updated physical, MCPS will extend the expiration date of an existing physicals on file at Walter Johnson HS by one calendar year.  To the extent a student does not have a physical on file with Walter Johnson HS, the student will need to obtain one. Due to the strenuous nature of selected activities, each student is encouraged to consult their physician concerning fitness to participate in the program.  During any live engagement, parents/guardians and students must ensure that surroundings are free of obstacles and that an appropriate plan is in place on how to access help in the event of an emergency. We are excited to provide your student with the greatest education-based virtual athletics season during such unprecedented times. We Can, We Will, WE RAISE!
