On Senior Night 2018, the Wildcats execute 20 steals and go toe-to-toe with the visitors from Olney. The five WJ seniors started the game and finished the first quarter together, leading 14-11 at the end of that stanza. The Wildcats had 7 steals and only one turnover in the period. The Wildcats fell behind at half, 28-32, but duplicated the first quarter scoring in the third winning the period 14-11 to pull within 1. The Wildcats scrapped to the end, but cold 3 point shooting on the night (4 of 24) and uncharacteristically weak free throw shooting (9 of 18) were determining factors in the final score.
Junior power forward Hank Roll had the high game for either side with 16, pulled down 5 rebounds, and hit all 6 of his free throw attempts.
Congrats to the five Wildcats who gave it their all as Senior Night starters: Garrison Carter, Elio Ndanga, Nick Bournias, Will Koenick, and Andre Roales. Carter led in steals with 6, and along with Bournias tied for second-high scoring honors with 8 points. Koenick led with 6 rebounds, Roales with 5 assists, and Ndanga played a steady point guard, adding 4 points and 3 steals.
